The last few weeks....uh-- months :-/

Well there is just no point in having a blog if I never take the time to actually write in it. I am blaming the last week of the month being the week after spring break but it has been a slower than normal work week for me so it is time to get productive! I am looking through my "TO DO by 121212" list and let me give a little update!...

1. I recently finished the book The Vow (yes that makes three-- I am not too far behind on my book a month goal. I for some reason am a sucker for a girly love story. Only because I refuse to spend money at the movies I have not seen the movie but it is on my "must red box" list. I am needing suggestions on good books to read!

2. Trying new paleo recipes once a week--- yeahhhh not happened! I did really good for a few weeks then I stopped trying new stuff and having the same ole same ole every week. BUT tomorrow will be 3 months of being on paleo! 15 lbs down and I feel great! What I ended up doing is every Sunday I would cook enough food for the week. For lunch and dinner. I enjoyed spending that time in the kitchen and I didnt have to worry about cheating! And when I run out of food The Cajun Cleaver was always to the rescue! If you arent buying your meat and paleo meals from Nick you are crazy! :)

3. ok, so who knew I was so competitive?? When I said I needed to do CrossFit 3 times per week I didnt realize I would love it so much! I have been going 4-5 times per week every week! I decided the best thing to do was to take off every day from 12-2 for CrossFit and lunch! I seriously have the best job! I have set several PRs! and can now do double unders! A pull up! and Toes to bars! woohoo! I cant wait to see how far I come in the next few months!


4. I havent posted since I added another four legged furry friend :) Meet Baxter! my lil man! He is such a perfect little puppy! At first he got up every morning at 6AM so I took that time to teach myself how to get up early enough to get things done... That lasted a whole---- 3 weeks?? Now when he gets up I let him use the bathroom and then put him in the bed with LOLO and me!... oops I still over sleep! Why would you want to get up and be productive when you could cuddle with these two? I will try to do better next week!

5. I currently joined a creative professionalism small group. It has been fun meeting new people who are small creative business professionals like myself! I am still looking for another good bible study to join...

6. I have started adding some running back into my life. Saturday I am running my first 5K yes yes I have ran 3 half marathons but never a 5K. I am enjoying adding runs back in... If you are looking for someone to run with we run Mondays at 6 from TinRoof in the Lakeview district and Wednesdays at 530 from the Trak Shak in Homewood. My goal would be to run that next half in Oct, Nov Dec ish...

7. Since I have been doing Paleo for 3 months now that means NO sugar in my life... For the first month I did not take a single cheat. That was... NOT fun. But now I will take a cheat on Saturdays... bring on the ice cream or cookies or cake! but only on Saturdays! :)

Well I am not done with my to do list but I am working on it!
